Peer Review Policy

The European Journal of Medical Practitioners (EJMP) follows a Single-Blind Peer Review system to ensure the quality, integrity, and scientific accuracy of published research. Under this model, reviewers are aware of the authors' identities, while the identities of reviewers remain confidential and are not disclosed to the authors.

Initial Manuscript Screening

Upon submission, all manuscripts undergo an initial editorial assessment to ensure:

  • The manuscript falls within the scope of the journal.
  • Compliance with the journal’s submission and publication guidelines.
  • Fulfillment of basic scientific and academic quality standards.
  • Completeness of all required files and information.

Manuscripts that do not meet these requirements may be rejected before being sent for peer review.

Peer Review Process

After successfully passing the initial screening, the manuscript is assigned to expert reviewers in the relevant field for evaluation based on:

  • Originality and scientific significance.
  • Soundness of the research methodology.
  • Accuracy of results and data analysis.
  • Clarity of presentation and scientific organization.
  • Contribution of the study to current medical knowledge.

Editorial Decisions

Based on the reviewers’ reports, the Editorial Board may make one of the following decisions:

  • Accept the manuscript for publication.
  • Accept the manuscript subject to minor revisions.
  • Request major revisions and resubmission for further evaluation.
  • Reject the manuscript.

The final decision regarding publication remains the responsibility of the Editorial Board.

Confidentiality

All manuscripts and associated documents are treated as strictly confidential. Reviewers are required not to share, disclose, or use any unpublished information obtained during the review process.

Conflict of Interest

Reviewers must disclose any potential conflicts of interest that could affect the objectivity of their assessment and should decline the review assignment when such conflicts exist.

Review Timeline

The peer review process typically takes 4–6 weeks, although the duration may vary depending on the nature of the manuscript and the availability of qualified reviewers.

Research Integrity

The journal is committed to upholding the principles of academic integrity and publication ethics. Appropriate actions may be taken in cases involving plagiarism, data manipulation, falsification, fabrication, or any other form of unethical research or publication practice.
